Development[]

This game was in development alongside Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker, with Koichi Hayashida as the games' producer. Initially, it was stated that this type of game would be impossible on the 3DS, though it was made through much hard work after many requests for a 3DS version. The development team did not know if the game was going to be finished until about one month before completion.[1]

Reception[]

The game received middling reviews, scoring a 69 on Metacritic and a 73.57% on GameRankings. This game was criticized for costing the same as the Wii U NES Remix Pack, but lacking a few games and several features of its Wii U counterpart.
