The Ultra Machine is a device created by Nintendo and Gunpei Yokoi that is part of the lucrative Ultra franchise that also consists of the Ultra Hand and Ultra Scope. The Ultra Machine threw very soft balls for people to hit with baseball bats. It was intended for a younger audience. It was originally released in 1967.
In WarioWare, Inc.: Mega Microgame$! for the Game Boy Advance, the boss stage for in-game character 9-Volt has player hitting balls thrown by the Ultra Machine. A similar game appears in WarioWare: Smooth Moves for the Wii, though in this game it's a standard microgame instead of a boss stage.
Rusty's Real Deal Baseball
In Rusty's Real Deal Baseball, the Ultra Machine is the head of many of the batters and pitchers in the games. The first game starts out with a single Ultra Machine pitching you a baseball in the tutorial. Then, it pops out of the ground, with a normal human body, to throw balls for you to hit with your bat.
