Virtua Fighter 2 is a fighting game originally released in arcades and later released to the Sega Genesis and Sega Saturn. The Saturn version is considered a breakthrough in fighting games, popularizing the 3D fighter much like how Street Fighter II popularized 2D fighters. The Genesis version was ported to the Playstation 2 as part of the Sega Genesis Collection and later to the Wii via its Virtual Console service.
