Its first TV appearance was in the episode, Love at First Flight alongside his female counterpart Illumise.

A Volbeat appeared again in That's Just Swellow owned by a man named Volt in a PokéRinger competition.

A Volbeat appeared in Time Warp Heals All Wounds. Edna mentioned how Volbeat and Illumise used to do their mating dance in a large tree that used to be located in the middle of the city.

Trivia

  • Prior to Generation VII,Volbeat was the only Pokémon that could learn Flash by leveling up. Starting in Gen VII, Morelull and it's evolution Shiinotic can get this move via level up.
