In the anime

Brock was given a Vulpix in the episode Pokémon Fashion Flash by the character of the day, Suzie.

At the end of SM013, an Alolan Vulpix hatched from an Egg that Lillie took care of. She had named the egg "Shiron", and kept that name after it hatched. In SM014, a regular one hatched for Samson Oak. Lillie overcame her fear of Pokémon and caught Shiron.
