We Ski (known as Family Ski in Japan and Europe) is a Wii video game published and developed by Namco Bandai. It is the second video game to make use of the Wii Balance Board and the first third party game to do so. If the player is not in possession of a Balance Board, then he or she can use the standard Wii Remote and Nunchuk combination without the board.
While on the board, players will also make use of the Wii Remote and Nunchuk as ski poles. In all, there are fourteen different stages, each one requiring the player to head down a mountain's slope while jumping off cliffs and performing tricks. If the player wishes, they can use their custom made Miis or characters that the developer created (which, like Miis, can also be customized). The player can also take pictures in the game and send them to their friends via WiiConnect24.
Mario series creator Shigeru Miyamoto mentioned the game in an interview when asked whether or not third party developers were making good use of the Wii Balance Board.
