Wily Castle is a stage that appears in both versions of Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS/Wii U from the Mega Man series. It takes place in front of Dr. Wily's Castle as depicted in Mega Man 2. The Yellow Devil boss from the Mega Man games makes an appearance as a stage hazard/boss, exploding when enough damage is done to its eye by the players.

Stage Features[]

Wii U[]

The main body of the stage is a flat body which fighters cannot go underneath. There are two floating platforms at either side of the stage, suspended beyond the body of the stage. After a while, a rail, like the one from Mega Man 2's, will appear around the left platform, in a square figure-eight shape. The platform will move around this rail. These rails will have breaks in them which, when the platform crosses them, they will drop temporarily until it reaches a solid rail again. There is more than one possible rail configuration.

Nintendo 3DS[]

Instead of being at night, this stage is during the daytime. The platforms also aren't on rails. Instead, platforms come from the top and hover. Additional platforms rise from the bottom to the stage's sides. They are either a set of platforms brought around by chains or a swinging platform on a pillar.

Yellow Devil[]

Super-Smash-Bros-4-Yellow-Devil

At times, parts of the Yellow Devil will ascend from the background, then descend and reassemble on the stage. When the Yellow Devil is formed, it will attack the players with its own body until it is defeated by taking a sufficient amount of damage from the players, though only its eye is unguarded. Once defeated, the Yellow Devil will explode, dealing damage and knockback, and this explosion will count as an attack for the player who landed the final blow.
