Wurmple(JP) is a species of Pokémon in the series of the same name. It is a Bug type Pokémon in the third generation games, Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire. It evolves into either Cascoon or Silcoon at level 7 and then into Dustox or Beautifly at level 10.

Physiology and Behaviour

Wurmple is a worm-like Pokémon that is mostly red in color, with a white underbelly. It has several barbs along its body.

May and Jessie both get a Wurmple though they evolve into the separate evolutions with may getting Beautifly and Jessie getting Dustox.

Pokémon Ruby Using the spikes on its rear end, Wurmple peels the bark off trees and feeds on the sap that oozes out. This Pokémon's feet are tipped with suction pads that allow it to cling to glass without slipping.
Pokémon Sapphire Wurmple is targeted by Swellow as prey. This Pokémon will try to resist by pointing the spikes on its rear at the attacking predator. It will weaken the foe by leaking poison from the spikes.
Pokémon Emerald It sticks to tree branches and eats leaves. The thread it spits from its mouth, which becomes gooey when it touches air, slows the movement of its foes.
