Yoichi Yamada is a video game planner at Nintendo and a prominent member of the Zelda team, having worked on almost every Zelda game released since the A Link to the Past days as a planner.

In his first projects at the company he worked on early sound and polygon research on the SNES, and later on was also involved on titles like Star Fox, Wave Race 64 and Luigi's Mansion. Since the GameCube era, he has worked exclusively on the Zelda franchise.
