Zora's Domain is a recurring location in The Legend of Zelda series. As its name implies, it's the home of the Zora people. The clean, pure water flowing from Zora's Fountain creates the perfect habitat for Zoras as well as their eggs and tadpoles. It has been said that Zora's Lake in A Link to the Past is in actuality Zora's Domain, though was titled differently for whatever reason.

The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time[]

In The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, Zora's Domain can be accessed by traversing upstream through Zora's River or diving in a small underwater portal located in Lake Hylia with the help of the Silver Scale. It is found within a relatively small cave that houses most of the Zora species. Princess Ruto and her father, King Zora, can both be found here. It is connected to Zora's Fountain, where Lord Jabu-Jabu can be found.

In the game's future time period, Zora's Domain is covered in ice as a result of a curse caused by Morpha, a water demon created by Ganondorf. During the game's end credits, Zora's Domain is shown to be back to normal.

The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess[]

Zora's Domain returns in Twilight Princess, albeit with a different appearance. It's been dramatically enlarged, and houses a much larger amount of Zora, still seemingly having the majority in the world of Zelda. In twilight, Zora's Domain is completely frozen, though the player is capable of unfreezing it by using a large molten rock found on Death Mountain that can be warped thanks to Midna's abilities. This act is considered by many as a reference to Zora's Domain in Ocarina of Time after the initial seven years - in the game, players attempted everything possible to try and unfreeze the now frozen domain, with no such luck.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild[]

Zora's Domain reappears again in Breath of the Wild, During the events of the game, the area is plagued by rain because of Divine Beast Vah Ruta, leading Sidon to search for a Hylian to help his people.
